Used Scuba Diving Equipment – My dad and i are in an open water diving course. We’ve had two weekends of pool dives and are going on our lake dives this weekend. I’ve always wondered but never asked – how much does all of that equipment weigh?!?
Not counting the weight belt or extra weights of course – just the tank and BCD. I use a regular sized tank (not small) and it feels so heavy. Just wondering actual weight….

my uncle has an ultralight bcd, which is AWESOME. the whole thing with tank weighs about 20 pounds. a regular bcd and a tank weighs 40-50 lbs

Guessing, but very close:
Tank – 80 cubic foot aluminum, 45 lbs filled.
Regulator – 2 lbs
BC – 5 lbs
Wetsuit – 4 lbs (I dive a 7mm 1 piece)
So, 56ish pounds. I’m at work, all my gear is at home, or I’d weigh it all.
